Polaris (ako ata to! hehehe assuming!)
I promised to post some of my baboi’s poem here. so here is one I personally like, hope you’d enjoy reading.
the title is….POLARIS
if there is one star
that guides me through my
wanderings,
it is you.
constant and still.
luminous and steadfast.
do you even know
how much light you shed
on the darkest corners of my being
where I tussle and fight with
my bewildered inner-self in secret,
in the shadows.
seeing you up there
steering my life
is like the awakening
of a long-asleep passion
thats cradled deep down
the center of my core.
you brought meaning
to a directionless journey.
you gave reason
to an utterly meaningless
existence.
and life to a solitary nomad
traversing the infinite length
of the night sky
pursuing and searching endlessly
for a compass.
now, I will never go astray.
as long as you sparkle
and guide this transient soul.
for you will be
in this short lifetime
my polaris.
